Diabetes Care @ Medahead
Our qualified and accredited diabetologist offers prevention, early diagnosis, and comprehensive management of diabetes. Diabetes is a complex, multi-system illness that requires a holistic approach, coupled with sound evidence-based medical knowledge and positive changes to your lifestyle. Control of your blood sugar is essential, along with blood pressure, cholesterol, weight management, and the alleviation of other risk factors. We will clearly identify treatment goals for you as a basis for positive changes in your lifestyle and pharmacological therapies.
Good diabetes care also depends on a multidisciplinary team approach. You will benefit from referrals to our network of colleagues for eye care (ophthalmologists), foot care (podiatrists), heart care (cardiologists), nutritional advice, education and other specialist services when indicated. We provide fellow GP's and specialist practitioners with regular diabetes assessment summaries and progress reports of their patients.
